Apple Vs. Android - Who Wins???

Hello, and welcome to my seventh and last post on my blog about the two most popular smart device platforms, Apple and Google's Android. In this post, I will sum up my previous 5 posts and finally, say which platform I believe is the '' Winner'' of this battle.

2nd post - "The Products and Looks"

In this post, I talked about the different kind of products that Android and Apple offer. Basically, Apple offers only one kind of phone, the iPhone, whereas Android offers multiple different smartphones, which I like about Android, because it offers me a bigger variety of choice of devices when choosing my phone. iPhones, on the other hand, limit themselves to one phone, which does not offer the specs that Android offers that some people look for. Also, Apple iPhones are more expensive than all Android phones, and I believe that its perks do not outweigh its price (to be explained throughout this post). Also, Android is an open source platform, which means it is can work on multiple different devices. Apple, on the other hand, is a closed source platform, which means it only works within its own products.

For its products, I prefer Android over Apple, because Android has a lot more different devices for me to choose from, which better suits my needs and my wants. Also, they come at a much more affordable price than iPhones. In addition, I use multiple Android devices; therefore, the open source platform works very well for me, because I have the same platform across all of my Android devices.

3rd and 4th post - "Android Software" and "Apple Software"

1-0 Android going into the 2nd event

Android

Android Software runs on the latest version of Android OS; Android 6.0, Marshmallow.  It comes with some really cool features like Google Now on Tap and Doze. I love the newest update because it gives Android a new and fresh look. Also, I like the Google software that permits me to do very quick and easy searches, whenever I need to.

Apple

Apple software runs on its latest version of iOS, iOS 9.3.1. iOS is always improving, and it shows a lot of promise. This can be because Apple is a closed source software, which means that Apple can, and has, perfected its software.

Out of the two, I would choose the Apple software, because it allows us more personalisation and more social access. For example, Apple has FaceTime and iMessage.

5th post - "Google Now vs. Siri"

1-1 tie going into the 3rd event

Google Now and Siri are the two voice commanded search engines. They both have their own advantages and drawbacks, such as Google backed searches by Google Now, and One-stop searches by Siri.

Out of the two, I prefer Google Now over Siri, for multiple reasons; firstly, the voice recognition that Google Now possesses is much more reliable than Siri's, because when I talked to Google Now, it picked up every word I said, whereas Siri mixes up common words with other words that make your search difficult. Also, the Google search function with Google Now is much more easier to use than Siri's, because with the Google search, you can choose which source you want to use for your information. Lastly, Google Now uses your location services to relate your searches to your current location.

6th post - "Day-to-Day Tasking"

2-1 Android going into the 4th and final event

Now, for the final event; Day-to-day tasking. Both platforms have its own advantages, but out of the two, I by far choose Android over Apple, because the Google software allows me to much more, much quicker than the Apple software. Also, the various screen sizes allows me to do the

entertaining

tasks with more ease and enjoyment. In addition, the Google Now function keeps me up to date with

my region's events and activities, which I have found very interesting and helpful.

And the winner is....

And the winner is... by a score of 3-1... ANDROID!!!!!!!!!!

Overall, I prefer Google's Android software over Apple's iOS software for multiple reasons, and this post has just summed it up. I LOVE the search software of Google, I love the simplicity, yet complexity of it that makes the devices fun to use, and simple to use. I love the new 6.0 Marshmallow software, which came with some new amazing features.

Thank you so much for your interest in my blog, and I hope it has helped you at all.

  1. YEAH! GO ANDROID!

I can pretty much agree with everything you said about Android being better than Apple. Don't know why people like Apple. :I
I am pretty sure people don't like dropping their phone, but when it does happen, iPhones pretty much destroyed in that comparison(literally.) Ha.

AND THE PRICING!? According to Forbes, in 2015, iPhones are 2.7 more expensive than Android devices. Hello? That is insane.

AND THE CHARGERS!? WHY IS THERE SO MANY DIFFERENT CHARGERS FOR APPLE DEVICES!? WHY NOT BE LIKE ANDROID AND BE ABLE TO USE A MICRO USB CABLE FOR ALL DEVICES!? WHAT.

  2. Hold up a second, I'm pretty sure I've seen you with an android so how do I know you didn't just say android is better because you have one instead of apple being truly better? Anyway, as an Apple owner I still think it's better

  3. Great posts. No lie, after reading your blog I just said "Ok Google Now" to my phone and it responded!!! I completely freaked out. I had no idea that function even existed. Lol. I agree with you and Ricky, go Android!

    A few small issues:
    - Spelling / Grammar (Some awkward phrasing: ex. “it is a question asked by a lot of people, within themselves as well as to others”, “it faults in web searches”, “Apple, for example, make it very easy”, therefor, etc.)
    - some formatting problems when it comes to spacing or fonts.
    - A few more videos would be nice.
    - Sometimes weak on opinion.

But overall a great set of posts. Good job!
